Peter Brown

Chief Executive Officer

Overseeing Prophecy Unlimited from its launch, Peter’s proud to bring a hugely talented team together to deliver work that’s worth people’s time. Because he believes that any time invested with brands and products should be a rewarding experience.

Having worked across a wide range of categories, from automotive and government to telecoms and property, Peter’s committed to excellent client service and making sure our clients enjoy working with the team to create award-winning joined-up work.

When he’s not leading the agency and making sure that Bristol continues to attract top talent and clients, Peter’s probably on his bike. Cycling every day, his daily commute gives him precious time to think things through without distraction.

Matt Hardy

Chief Technology Officer

Over the years, Matt’s interest in tech has led him to develop software in numerous industries including banking, utilities, FMCG and health. He now spends his time heading up Prophecy Unlimited’s tech team, enabling us to deliver genuinely useful technology that enriches people’s lives.

Delivery, discovery and inspiration drive Matt and his team forwards. Focussed on fostering a culture of innovation and embedding expertise within the team, Matt encourages our developers to explore new technologies and throw themselves into innovative tech projects. A chance to experiment with new tech, ‘Techsperts’ takes place fortnightly and gives the team the freedom to play, in a technology area of their choice – from artificial intelligence to VR.

When he’s not busy pushing Prophecy Unlimited’s tech capabilities, you’ll probably find Matt letting his creative side loose with Batesy in the studio, working on Manchego+Quince’s forthcoming album release.

Carrie Sewell

Finance Director

Since qualifying as an Accountant in 1990, Carrie’s worked in many industries, for companies big and small. She now heads up our Finance and HR teams, spending her time future-proofing the agency as she drives and delivers our finance strategy.

Proudly lefthanded, Carrie’s head meets her heart at Prophecy Unlimited as she’s found the perfect balance between her love of numbers and creativity. Overseeing an experienced team who are passionate about all things Prophecy Unlimited, Carrie’s committed to driving our vision of being the agency of choice for clients and employees in the South West.

When she’s not busy keeping the agency’s finances in check, Carrie loves nothing more than relaxing with her family – be it in Dartmoor, the Isle of Wight or further afield in Fuerteventura.

Ian Bates

Creative Director

Ian (aka Batesy) is a member of the DMA Awards Committee and Grand Prix judging panel, a Trustee of the GRT Creative Network and a judge at D&AD, DMAs, International ECHO and MAA Do Different Awards. He was also a speaker at Cannes 2018 on the Brand Masters programme. But most importantly, he’s the driving force behind our creative offering.

With a creative vision that’s rooted in the power of ideas, and plenty of experience when it comes to building brands and activating valuable moments, Ian encourages our creatives to collaborate across skillsets – from art and copy to social, film and UX – to maximise opportunities. He also runs our Catalyst workshops which bring Insight, Data and Tech into a rapid-fire ideation process with Creatives, leading to innovative new possibilities for clients.

When he’s not busy judging awards, running workshops or pushing our creative limits, you’ll probably find him attempting to adopt yet another dog from Greece, much to his wife’s dismay.
